CARLO CHIARENZA was born in Castiglione del Lago (Italy) on November 13, (Scorpion). He is the guitarist of RENUDO as well as the composer and arranger of all the group's songs. Carlo began playing at the age of 10, and was encouraged by his musical family, having a sister and two cousins who all had gone to music conversatories. Then Danilo arrived on the scene, and admiring his talent and potential as an artist, asked him to be a part of the RENUDO project when he was a mere 16 years old. His ability as a guitarist is tremendous, and his natural talent has been perfected by years of practice and study behind the closed doors of his room. Even now he continues to play and practice all the time, trying out new parts and sounds with Chicco after the RENUDO rehearsals for as long possible. At home he has more than 300 CDs of every musical style from jazz to metal. Even if he plays rock (his first love) for RENUDO, like every versatile guitarist, he loves all the genres (jazz, fusion, blues) where an accomplished technician can really put on a show. His musical method is methodical and precise: careful, attentive, and sensitive to every detail and nuance of style. Actully, he earns a living as a musician, working full time as a teacher of more than 20 students, of which there are several that are older than him. He is an endorser for Maverick Guitars that supplies him with the majority of the guitars that he uses in concert. Although he may appear to be shy, in reality he has a strong personality and is someone that knows what he wants and always speaks with intention and intelligence. He is hard on himself, hates to waste time, is meticulous, organized, and capable. He hates false appearances and those who pretend to be something that they aren't. His ambitious mind-set coincides with his continual and consistent work-ethic in pursuit of a goal, and he is always humble even when he shouldn't be. He is honest and sincere (he'll tell you straight up how it is), acts on instinct, and is very sensitive. With those that he loves and cares about he always gives his all, and those that know him will say you can always count on him no matter what. If he wasn't completely immersed in his music he would probably be otherwise occupied with his favorite sport, basketball. When he plays he hates to lose, and when he's on defense, watch out. For now, however, he had to stop playing on the playground courts for fear of injury from the legendary Tallarini (noble in the life but bastard on the court). He keeps up with soccer also (in moderation) even if he doesn't play it, and he is a big fan of Inter. Traveling is a favorite passtime, and seeing new places and ways of life opposite his own is always intriguing for him. Living and jiving mostly after dark, this night owl enjoys going out to local discotechs and clubs to dance and slam to his favorite tunes, listen to other bands, and chill out with the cool kids. A non-smoker, Carlo is a big fan of beer in all its forms and alcoholic grades, and can drink a case without getting drunk, unlike Danilo who can hold his liquor about like a 2 year old. He isn't a picky eater (no eggs or bell peppers, however), and could live eating only pizza, his favorite food. Videogames are an occasionally hobby, especially if there are soccer related. In general he isn't a big spender, but when he does shop, he tends to invest in the few yet worthwhile purchases of excellent quality and style. His idols have always been Macgyver (you know...the one from the 80s TV show) and the singer of the group Guano Apes, Sandra Nasic, for whom he has a tremendous artistic respect as well as the carnal desire to possess. He hasn't found his soul mate as of yet, and because he just doesn't have the playboy thing going on, he prefers to keep his distance and not risk the possible rejection that may result from superficial encounters. In a girl, the first thing he notices is the face and the expressivity of the eyes, but most importantly, he wants to find the true-blue, down-to-earth type of woman that has grown out of those common game-playing flirtations. Eligible women watch out, because if Carlo has the kind of finess and passion with women as he does with his guitar...well...you better be ready!
